major swing and friends invite you to "swing in the new year"!!!!!!!!!
due to popular demand we have decided to repeat last years new year afternoon tea dance!!!!!
this time in a bigger hall, bigger dance floor, stage, large seating area off the dance floor,
huge car park. the date for this is sunday january 2nd, one till five, the venue is carlton scroop village hall,
roughly 15 minutes out of grantham on the lincoln road!!! tickets will be on sale shortly and will be limited
to avoid an overcrowded dance floor so it will be strictly first come first serve!! £5 ordered and paid for in
advance. £6 on the door if not sold out. price includes, delicious home made soup, nibbles, complimentary
wine, spot prizes on the dance floor. we aim to re create a village hall dance in the forties, so please don
your best vintage outfits, uniforms/re enactors welcome(allied), music will be supplied by major swing who
will be playing vintage british dance bands, hot american swing, period dances such as waltz, foxtrot,quick
step, st bernards waltz, lambeth walk,gay gordons, barndance, as well as lindy, bal and jump jive!!!
