Sunday 9th August 2009:- Parade of Re-enactors and preserved military transport through Uppermill from the show/camp site led by the veterans of the Royal British Legion, with all standards flying, and escorted by the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band. The vehicles then go on a tour of the villages of Saddleworth including Dobcross, the village where YANKS was filmed, before returning to the show/camp site. PLUS a Lancaster Bomber will fly over Uppermill from the Dobcross/Diggle end straight over the village, its co-ordinates are the Churchill playing fields and at a Height about 1000 feet.
Dancing and music as last year around the villages & show sites. Plus an extra display of American cars in the park in Uppermill.
